Jon Kyongnin has published eleven novels, in addition to short story collections, essay collections, and fairy tales for adults. Her novel A Special Day in My Life was made into the movie Deep Loves in 2002. Jon has received the Hyundae Literary Award, Yi Sang Literary Award, and the 21st Century Literature Award. The English edition of her book I Drift on Unknown Waters in a Glass Boat was published in 2010.
Jung Mikyung made her literary debut in 1987 as the winner in the drama category of the JoongAng New Writer’s Award, then went on hiatus before publishing a short story in the quarterly World Literature in 2001. She is the author of the short story collections Bloodstained Lover , They Gave Me Balkan Roses , My Son’s Girlfriend , and The French Laundry ; the novels La Vie en Rose , The Strange Sorrow of Wonderland , and Stars of Africa . She is the winner of the 2006 Yi Sang Literary Award.
Jung Young Moon
Jung Young Moon graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in psychology. He made his literary debut in 1996 with the novel A Man Who Barely Exists . Among his works, Vaseline Buddha, A Most Ambiguous Sunday and Other Stories , A Chain of Dark Tales, and A Contrived World have appeared in English. He has won the Dongsuh Literary Award, the HMS (Hahn Moo-Sook) Literary Award, the Dongin Literary Award, and the Daesan Literary Award. Jung Young Su
Jung Young Su obtained an MFA in playwriting at the Korea National University of Arts School of Drama. In 2014, his short story “Nights in Lebanon” won him the Changbi Prize for New Figures in Literature. Another story, “Aficionados,” was nominated for the Moonji Literary Award in 2015. He won the Munhakdongne Young Writers Award in 2018 for the story “More Humane Words.” He published his first collection of short stories, Aficionados , in 2017.
